This resolution, prepared by the US, includes measures to reduce North Korea's gasoline imports by up to 90%.

North Korea's main trading partners, China and Russia, voted for this resolution.

The US, the United Nations and the European Union have already imposed sanctions on North Korea. Since 2008, the US has imposed sanctions on North Korea.
