The Saudi-led coalition, fighting against the Hoodi rebels in Yemen, has reportedly intercepted a ballistic missile facing Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh.
In the Saudi capital, eyewitnesses have said that they heard an explosion and shared videos showing the smoke in the air in social media. There are no reports of any damage.
The al-Masrilla television news of the Hoodi Movement has revealed that they have launched a Burkan-2 missile targeted at the leaders of the al-Yamama palace. The king's headquarters and the court are in the palace.
Last month, a similar missile came close to attacking Riyadh Airport.
Since 2015, the Hoodi rebels are fighting against the Yemeni government and the Saudi-led allies. Saudi and the US are accusing Iran of providing them with arms.
