The Australian Police has said that one person was arrested in Sydney in connection with acting as an agent of North Korea.
59-year-old Sun Hoon Chue has been accused of providing weapons of mass destruction and operating illegally as exporters.
The police said that he had violated economic sanctions imposed by the UN and Australia on North Korea.
These cases have been filed against Sun Han Chai, who has been living in Australia for more than three decades. This is the first case filed in Australia under the WMD of the 1995 Apocalypse (Prohibition Prevention) Act.
The police said there was evidence of Sun relation with top officials of North Korea.
He has been charged with selling off special services and foreign companies, including ballistic missile technology, to generate revenue for the North Korean government.
Sun Han Chue has also been accused of operating as a brokerage dealer from North Korea to Indonesia and Vietnam. Six cases have been registered against him, who was arrested on Saturday night at home, and the Australian has confirmed that he is an Australian citizen for more than 30 years.
The police described Sun Han as he believed that he was a loyal agent and believed he was acting in great patriotism.
The police said that all of the activities of Sun did not reveal "direct threat" to Australians because all of it was overseas.
"These allegations may be risky, but no weapons or missiles are inside the Australian soil," said Australian Police Assistant Commissioner Neil Cohen. If the allegations are confirmed, Sun will be jailed for up to 10 years. He can not get out of the jam too.
The Australian government said last October that North Korea wrote a letter to urge them to stay away from the drum board.
Similarly, North Korea has already warned that if Australia follows US policies against the Kim Jong-s government, Australia would "face disaster".
