Mani Shankar Aiyar who criticized Modi for 'Nisar' was suspended from Congress' basic membership responsibility. Congress spokesperson Randeep S. Sughevala said on the Twitter page.
Meanwhile, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi said that he and the Congress party would like to apologize for the statement made by Mani Shankar Aiyar.
Rahul said, "I do not accept the language and the tone used by Manshankar Aiyar to describe the Prime Minister, and the Congress and I expect to apologize for what he said," the BJP and the prime minister used the language to attack Congress.
Speaking at the Ambedkar International Center on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said indirectly attacking Congress by claiming that "voting parties in the name of Ambedkar in the name of the Indian Constitution are trying to destroy his role in the creation of the nation".
