At least 40 people have been killed in suicide bombings in the center of a cultural and religious organization in the Shia Islami section of the Afghan capital Kabul. More than 30 people have been injured.
The Afghan Interior Ministry told that the attack took place after two bomb blasts in the same area.
No organization has ever claimed responsibility for this attack. The Taliban has issued a statement that they are not involved in the attack.
In recent months, the organization that claims to be an Islamic state targeting Shia centers in the country is being attacked.
The photos shared on social networks show that many bodies lay in the courtyard of that center.
The attack was targeted by the Tuboyan Cultural Center, which was organized to commemorate the 38th anniversary of the occupation of the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, "Afghan Interior Ministry's deputy spokesman Nasserat Rahman told AFP News Agency.
Up to now, dozens of bodies have been evacuated and several injured have been taken to the hospital, the spokesman for the Shia organization Media Section of Afghan Press told.
At the center of the suicide attack, many students were participating in a discussion program with members of the media group.
At least 39 people were killed in an assault on a minor mosque in Shi's mosque last October.
Last Monday, 10 people were killed in a suicide bombing near the country's intelligence agency's premises.
