The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has ruled that seven of the former members of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) were sentenced to 56 years imprisonment.
The court today ordered the death sentence of seven persons convicted of murdering seven people including a doctor in the Vilpattu National Sanctuary and on Wednesday (Wednesday).
7 persons from Mannar, Chavakachcheri, Vavuniya and Puttalam have received this sentence.
The verdict has been issued to the court on charges of 8 allegations by the Attorney General.
The Climore attack was carried out on May 27, 2006, aimed at the Kepler Vehicle in the National Wildlife Sanctuary.
