The Madras branch of Chennai High Court has released all of the ship's cargo ship which was seized with weapons in the Indian waters of Tuticorin in 2013.
On October 18, 2013, a US-based ship 'Simeon Kart Ohhiyo' was halted within Indian waters. The weapons were also seized from it. Following this, the Kyu Branch police arrested 35 people from the ship.
Twelve of these 35 Indians. 23 foreigners are foreigners. Six of the foreigners were from Britain. The rest were from Ukraine and Estonia. This ship belongs to the American firm Atvan Ford. Seeman Kard, who was intercepted by the Indian Coast Guard ship, Chidambaranar was brought to the harbor.

The prosecution was accused of bringing the banned weapons into Indian waters. The crew of the ship was imprisoned for about 9 months and later released on bail. But they were not allowed to leave India.
In this case, in January 2016, all of these employees were sentenced to 5 years imprisonment and a fine of 3 thousand rupees.
The verdict was filed against the Madurai branch of the Madras High Court against the judgment.
When asked about the case on the ship's side, it was said that there were no proper documents for 6 semi-automatic guns that were not available in the Indian waters when they were intercepted, and all of them were former soldiers and they had no threat to India. It was also said that the weapons they had kept were used for pirates.
In this case, the High Court of Madurai (today) pronounced the decision of the lower court to quash the case and release 35 of them. The accused have been asked to apply to the lower court and obtain their passports.
